Now the Awkwardness Of Interactions

a lot of people find it extremely awkward interacting with friends and loved ones that have an illness.  it is not their fault nor is it ours.  but the situation causes awkwardness… what do i say…what don’t i say…how can I relate…should I try to try to relate my situation…I feel helpless for my friend…how do I help…

This awkwardness is felt by those of us with the illness as well. We do not want to be a burden. We do not want to be treated differently.  We want to be who we were.

But the realization most of us reach is that we may never be who we were and we always worry about this among other things.  to cope with many withdraw. others face it head on alone. Others with family and friends find a way to make their situation less awkward for them.
